Rain to star in Chinese drama ‘Diamond Lover’

Singer-actor Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) has been confirmed to star in the upcoming Chinse drama 'Diamond Lover' as his next project.

'Diamond Lover' will be directed by Chen Ming Zhang, who directed Taiwanese drama 'Fated to Love You', which was remade in Korea due to its best-ever viewer ratings in Taiwan's high-teen drama history.

In the drama, Jung Ji-hoon will play the CEO of the world's best diamond jewelry company and a typical elite of the society. He will be acting out a cold perfectionist who later finds his true love.

The female lead will be played by popular Chinese actress Tang Yan, who starred in 'Perfect Couple', 'Chinese Paladin 3', 'My Daughter', and more.

An official of the drama said, "Due to his popularity and fame in China, Rain confirmed to star in the drama accepting an exceptional offer."

Rain will start filming 'Diamond Lover' in the beginning of December.
