Lee Seung Gi has participated in donation campaign while participating in KCON 2014.  

Lee Seung Gi participated in KCON, which taking place in Los Angeles, US through 9~10 as the honorary ambassador of Girls Education that holds donation campaign for the minorities in the US and actively engaged in the activities such as performing at the stage and more.    

Most of all, the aims of Girls Education that Lee involves in as the honorary ambassador are meaningful, which has brought eyes of people.  

Girls Education aims to provide education opportunities for the minority teenagers from low-income families who have failed to get proper education due to various reasons. The organization has been contributed various education contents, such as books, school supplies, and more and they provide these goods to teenagers in need under the name of Korean stars who join in KCON 2014, including Lee Seung Gi.       

Those educational goods that are gathered through Girls Education booth have delivered to the organization called WriteGirl that was founded by Karen Talyor. All people who had been participating in donation were given KCON 2014 badge and for those people who donated for 50th, 100th, and 150th were especially given a T-shirt with Lee’s autograph is on it, which has led great attentions and donations.   

Lee Seung Gi visited the Girls Education booth on the 10th by himself and encouraged the volunteers, making people so thrilled.

Lee Seung Gi took photos with people who came to the booth and gave explanations about aims for donation, expressing enthusiasm for the activities. He delivered notebooks that he had wanted to contribute to ‘Write Girl’ to the founder, Karen by himself and also he has met Kristen Park who came up with the idea of donation campaign ‘Girls Education’ saying hello and giving encouragement.     

Park stated “I have come up with the idea of donating activities since this is the biggest Korean Wave convention held in the U.S every year. I’m very much thrilled for the success. Moreover, Lee Seung Gi has made the event more meaningful. He contributed a lot for the activity.”   

When fans in the U.S have heard the news that Lee Seung Gi would participate in the KCON as the honorary ambassador as Girls Education for donation, many of them have sympathized for its aim and have actively participated in donation by his name.    

Lee Seung Gi stated “The passions of student volunteers coming both from the U.S and Korea were extremely intense, which makes me very proud. I’m honored to be participating in such a meaningful donation and hope that it will be helpful for those teenage girls who are alienated for various reasons.”  

Meanwhile, in his debut film, Today’s Love, Lee Seung Ki will play a dating loser Joon Su who always got dumped after giving everything to women. The film will be released in 2015.
