Girls Day joins volunteer work for supporting Thailand with Plan Korea

Girl group Girls’ Day (Sora, Yura, Minah, Hyeri) will go to Thailand for volunteer work.  


Rep. of the agency of Girls Day stated “Girls Day will go to Thailand from Aug.17~21 as the honorary ambassador of Plan Korea, a supporting organization of children in abroad. They will actively participate in campaign for birth registration for girls to enhance human rights of baby girls in Thailand.”     


Girls Day had been to Chianglai, Thailand as the honorary ambassador in August 2013. Also proceeds from the first exclusive concert held in July 13, was all donated to Plan Korea for supporting the campaign for registering birth of baby girls in Thailand.   


Rep. of Plan Korea stated “Girls Day went on a trip Thailand with Plan Korea to volunteer. We were very pleased to hear that Girls Day who had witnessed miserable lives due to violence and custom of early marriage wanted to willingly join to the campaign this time again.”   


Also he explained the plan for volunteer, saying, “Girls Day will meet four girls who have lived without being registered and visit their schools and homes to support them. After that they will register the girls’ birth to solve the fundamental problems.”  


Girls Day released summer special mini album ‘SUMMER PARTY’ on July 14 and wrapped up for the activities with the title song ‘Darling’ and will focus on doing individual works.
