Girl group A Pink and AOA are ready to become K-pop leaders following Girls’ Generation and KARA. Both groups will make official debut in Japan in the coming October.  

A Pink held showcase at Sinagawa Stellaball in Tokyo on Agust4 to announce their debut and on August 22 the girls will release Japanese single albume ‘NoNoNO’ through Universal Music.  

The showcase was broadcasted to the major media, including Sankei Sports, Nitcan Sports, Junichi Newspaper and more and upcoming single album has already gone No.1 Chart of Tower Record Daily presale chart, which notices its splendor debut.   

A Pink performed their hit songs, such as NoNoNo, My My, Mr. Chu and more to 2,000 fans who were invited to the showcase, beating the odds of 1 in26. At the showcase, 400 insiders from 140   music markets and media companies, including, Fuji TV, major Sports newspapers, and advertising company Dentsu and more have participated at the show reflecting great interests.    

Rep. of the agency Acube stated “Response from Japanese fans is incredible. Even before its official debut, the girls’ fan club ‘Panda Japan’ was launched and the number of the members has reached over 4000.”

AOA opened its official Japanese Homepage on July 31, and announced its debut single album ‘Mini Skirt.’
Universal Music Japan is one of the largest music corporation in Japan which has made contracts with Girls Generation, KARA and more major singers. Since the corporation values high for AOA’s capacity for music and market value, it decided to make contract with AOA.  

Rep. of Universal Music Japan addressed on the background of the contract, saying “ AOA is a girl group which has two concepts; band and dace, is very much distinguished from other girl groups, which we values high.“  

Next generation K-Pop girl group, AOA has brought issues before its official debut in Japan. Through the showcase which was held in 2013 and joining in ‘FNC Kingdom,’ FNC Entertainment Family Concert has completely caught eyes of Japanese music market.  

Before its official debut in Japan, AOA will be on the stage of ‘2014 A-Nation Asia Progress, Departure’ as a representative of Korean girl group.  

An insider of K-Pop stated, “A Pink and AOA as leading girl groups in Korea, have received great attentions from the fans in Japan. Korean Wave which has been bit down after Girls’ Generation and KARA, seems to be able to get on the right track.”
