‘Battle of Myeungnyang’ reaches one million in two days.


A film ‘Battle of Myeungnyang’ has taken Korea by storm. It has ranked as the top opening scores and it has already reached over one million audiences.


On the 31st, according to the Korean Film Council, the film, ‘Battle of Myeungnyang’ has gathered 683,200 audiences for 1,159 cinemas.


It has replaced the record of ‘Gundo: the age of Rampant’ (550,000). ‘Battle of Myeungnyang’ has set the new r

ecord.


Also, the film has beaten the record of Gwanghae: The men who became king (670,000). Continuing record-breaking ralley, on the 31st at 1:30 pm the number of audiences has reached over one million. 


‘Battle of Myeungnyang’ depicts ‘the battle of Myeungnyang’ the most great sea battle of Lee Sun Sin during the Japanese invasion period. The film is directed by Kim Han Min who directed War of the Arrows. Casts are Choi Min Sik, Ryu Seung Ryong, Jo Jin Woong, Jingu, Lee Jung Hyun and more.
