Girl group Girls’ Generation wrote a new record in Japan once again.
The girls’ first best album ‘THE BEST’ released on the 23th ranked the first place of the Oricon Daily Album Chart and the weekly chart as well.
Their first time the girls’ top the chart was with their 2011 regular 1st album ‘GIRLS GENERATION,’ released in June 2011 and the second time was with the 3rd Japanese album ‘LOVE&PEACE,’ and for this time the girls hit No. 1again, which makes them as the first Asian Girl group to ever top the No.1 at the Oricon Chart for three times. Girls’ Generation makes history on once again as the No.1 girl group.
On 29 Oricon highlighted Girls’ Generations’ ranking No.1 with the news title “Girls’ Generation set a new record, all 3 albums top the No.1 over ‘Twelve Girl Band” reporting that “Girls’ Generation makes history on top the Oricon chart for three times, which beat the record that Chinese girl group ‘Twelve Girl Band’ had set.”
Also, the album includes 18 songs, which are the girls’ ever hit songs, including ‘GENIE’, ‘Gee’, ‘MR.TAXI’,‘GALAXY SUPERNOVA’, ‘BEEP BEEP’,‘PAPARAZZI’, ‘FLOWER POWER’ and more, the Japanese version of ‘Mr.Mr,’ and newly released ballad song, ‘Indestructible.’
Meanwhile, to celebrate the girl’s first best album release, all over the Omotesando station, down town in Tokyo, is covered by Girls’ Generation’s huge posters.
