SM new girl group ‘Red Velvet’ Debuts on August 4

SM Entertainment (hereinafter SM)’s new group ‘Red Velvet’ is ready for the debut, which has been two years after the debut of Exo.

Red Velvet, which has brought issues through releasing teaser video clips through SMTOWN YouTube and its official webpage, http://redvelvet.smtown.com, on 28, is a girl group that has four members; Seul Ki, Irin, Wendy, Joy.

The ‘Red Velvet,’ named after strong and seductive color, Red and feminine and soft like Velvet, wants to charm the world with its colorful and trendy music with performance.

Seul Ki, Irin and Wendy have already proved their talents through working as members of ‘SMROOKIES,’ which is a pre-debut team of SM. Joy who has been trained by SM is the member which never been shown to the public before. Red Velvet is expected to show the results of the systematic star incubating system once again.

Red Velvet will release its digital single ‘Happiness’ to music websites and take a big step toward become a star.
