Following reports that author of the comic "Sul Hee", Kang Kyung-ok, is suing the producers of the SBS drama "Man from the Stars" claiming copyright violation, the production company has announced its official position regarding the lawsuit.

On May 22, production company HB Entertainment announced it will take strong legal action against the 600 million won lawsuit by comic 'Sul Hee' author Kang Kyung-ok.

HB Entertainment announced, "Author Kang posted her thought onto her personal blog claiming there were similarities between the two works on December 20 after the 2nd broadcast of 'Man from the Stars'. The author has been claiming that she was the victim of copyright infringement without actually delineating the definite similarities between the two works, rather simply listing phrases such as "alien", "top star", "blood" and more that would make people, who were not familiar with her actual work, believe that the two works were very similar."

The production company added, "We are procuring evidence and witnesses to prove that this production was in the works since 2003. We finished preparations to take legal actions, including claims for compensation for not only the mental and physical damages we endured so far but also the future damages in our business."
