Celebrities help out in the Sewol relief efforts

In the wake of a national tragedy, many celebrities are donating their time and money to help.

Actor Song Seung-hun made a donation through the Salvation Army organization and donated 100 million won to the rescue operations.

On April 19, actor On Joo-wan called to the charity headquarters of the Korean Salvation Army and also donated 1,000,000 won.

Baseball player Ryu Hyun-jin donated 100 million won to the relief efforts.

Actor Jung Dong-nam and comedian Kim Jung-goo were among the first celebrities to arrive on the scene to rescue the missing as both have extensive training in matters. Jung is the president of the Korean Rescue Federation and Kim is an industrial engineer diver.

Super Junior Lee Teuk's sister Park In-young also left to Jindo with her friends and managers to help.
