Drama ‘Three Days’ sold to China for highest price

SBS's new Wed-Thu drama 'Three Days' was exported to China.

Starring Park Yuchun, Son Hyun-joo, Park Ha-sun and others, 'Three Days' was sold to China for the highest price ever. This is the price that surpasses the price per episode of 'Man from the Stars' which had recorded the highest price up to now.

On March 5, president Kim Yong-hoon of the production company Golden Thumb Pictures said, "In the past, Chinese market suggested less than 10,000 USD per episode. But 'Three Days' was sold at price almost 5 times more than that. We found that it is the highest price ever paid for any Korean dramas so far."

Youku, the largest video streaming website in China, is the one that purchased the publication rights of 'Three Days'.

The production company said, "Due to Japan's conservative shift and falling exchange of yen, the demand and price of Korean dramas have been falling. But the gap has been filled thanks to the Chinese market. At the center of it, is a hallyu star like Park Yuchun and well made drama content."
