Real estate brokers shed bitter tears over Naver's real estate business, paying up to 600,000 won for advertising in Naver.

On August 1, office worker Jung has called to AsiaToday's Naver Special Team and said, "My wife runs a real estate agency and I decided to inform because I cannot bear Naver's tyranny anymore."

Jung asked to assign Naver as a market-dominating enterpriser under the Fair Trade Law and to regulate strongly so it doesn't limit other competitors' actions.

He pointed out that the press should establish a fair deliberation committee, which can select search partners.

Jung said, "My wife is running a small real estate agency and pays a monthly Naver advertising fee of 500,000 to 600,000 won. Real estate market is recently experiencing recession, yet agencies need to pay Naver advertising fees regularly."

He raised his voice, "Real estate field is not Naver's main business but they are maintaining an expensive policy. The biggest problem is that they are robbing the pockets of small business owners."

Jung criticized that Naver is publicly known as Korea's representative IT company but many of its employees are not IT people, but just salesmen. He said, "When I visit my wife's real estate agency, I often get to see employees from Naver taking and uploading pictures of offerings for real estate and customer management. It seems like Naver is imitating much of Google, but Google doesn't go all over the country and run real estate business."

Jung criticized, "If Google does real estate advertising, both website business operator and Google make money. But Naver's business model is simply extorting money. They makes an excuse saying that's how a platform works. Is it the global stand that Naver is pursuing?"

He said, "Furthermore, my wife is paying 1,000 won every day for real-time betting in order to place the offering on top of Naver's search page."
