Band CNBLUE were appointed as ambassadors for the international relief organization, Korea Food for the Hungry International.
On May 8, the members of CNBLUE attended the appointment ceremony held in Seoul and were given a plaque appointing them the honorary ambassadors for the organization.
Jung Yong-Hwa said, "We thought it was just a small action but many people saw it as a meaningful action and gave us a lot of support. So we've become more confident. Thank you so much and we would like to do more good deeds thanks to this opportunity."
Lee Jong-Hyun said, "At first, I thought I was the one doing the helping but later I was the one receiving the help. I've been realizing how beautiful the world is."
Kang Min-Hyuk and Lee Jung-Shin said, "We are so happy and honored to be here and we will do our best as ambassadors."
Since 2010, the group has been working as the honorary ambassadors for the 'Hantol Nanum Festival', the youth voluntary festival hosted by Korea Food for the Hungry International. Last year, the band donated parts of its profits from album and concert ticket sales to establish a school in Africa. The members have been donating to help manage and supply the school.
CNBLUE plans to build its second school funded by its upcoming '2013 World Tour Blue Moon' concert and continue expanding their charity project.
Meanwhile, CMBLUE will be continuing its world tour with its Hong Kong concert at Asia World Expo Arena from May 10 to 11.
