President Lee Jae-myung reportedly held a private dinner meeting with Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong on the 26th.

The meeting between President Lee and Chairman Lee comes about a month after the AI Summit held in San Francisco in the U.S. this past July.

The two leaders are believed to have discussed follow-up measures regarding the "Three Mega-Projects"—which center on establishing an 800-trillion-won semiconductor cluster in the Honam region—as well as U.S. pressure for additional local semiconductor investment.

In particular, Chairman Lee is expected to have requested the securing of essential infrastructure for the semiconductor cluster and exemptions from the 52-hour workweek cap for research and development staff.

Earlier, President Lee held a private meeting with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won on the 20th, and is reportedly coordinating a schedule to meet with Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung as well.
