An explosion-suspected fire broke out at an apartment management office in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, leaving eight people injured.

According to police and fire authorities on July 23, a fire accompanied by an explosion occurred inside an apartment management office in Sa-dong, Gyeongsan, at around 8:29 a.m. that day.

Eight people, including staff inside the office, were reported injured in the accident. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment, and the exact severity of their injuries is currently being assessed.

Police believe the explosion occurred while multiple management office staff members were gathered together.

It was reported that there had been conflict between the management office and some residents at the apartment complex. However, any connection between this accident and the existing conflict has not yet been confirmed.

Police and fire authorities plan to conduct a forensic investigation of the scene as soon as firefighting operations are completed, and will investigate the exact cause of the fire and the details of the accident with staff and witnesses who were inside the office at the time.
