President Lee Jae-myung and First Lady Kim Hye-kyung hosted a private luncheon for the spouses of Democratic Party of Korea lawmakers at Cheong Wa Dae, sources confirmed. This marks the first time since his inauguration that President Lee has officially invited the spouses of the ruling party's lawmakers.

According to political circles on June 23, the presidential couple dined with over 100 spouses of Democratic Party lawmakers at the Cheong Wa Dae State Guest House the previous day. The closed-door luncheon lasted for approximately two hours.

The spouse of Representative Jung Chung-rae, the leader of the Democratic Party, was also reportedly in attendance.

Cheong Wa Dae did not disclose the specific details of the conversations that took place during the luncheon. However, political observers note that the presidential couple likely engaged in an informal, candid dialogue with the spouses, seeking their cooperation and understanding for the administration's state governance.
