President Lee Jae-myung pointed out regarding the explosion accident that occurred at the Hanwha Aerospace factory in Daejeon the previous day, saying, "In particular, the repeated occurrence of the same type of accident within the same workplace is a serious problem," and urged, "Please look into this with extra care."

President Lee said at a Cabinet meeting held at the Blue House this morning, "An explosion accident occurred at the Daejeon factory, causing casualties. I pray for the souls of those who passed away and wish for a speedy recovery of the injured."

In particular, President Lee instructed the Minister of Employment and Labor, saying, "Please select and report workplaces where the same type of accidents have repeatedly occurred."

President Lee urged, "The relevant authorities must thoroughly investigate the cause of the accident and make every effort to establish measures to prevent recurrence," adding, "Please hasten safety inspections for other similar workplaces."

He continued, "While industrial accident fatalities seem to be decreasing, it is regrettable that they still continue," noting, "Everyone works for survival and for a happy life with their family. Yet, workplaces where people went to make a living often turn into scenes of death."

President Lee repeatedly stated, "There are times when doubts arise as to whether our society sufficiently respects and treasures human life," adding, "Do we truly value life over money, and do we respect the lives of others as much as our own? A single person's life itself is another universe, but I question whether it is treated with equal value."
