Lee Jae-myung is set to hold a summit on April 22 with To Lam to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation.
The talks are expected to focus on key sectors including nuclear energy, infrastructure, and critical minerals.
Ahead of the summit, Lee will pay tribute at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and attend an official welcome ceremony hosted by the Vietnamese government.
Following the meeting, the two leaders will participate in a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony, deliver joint press statements, and attend a state banquet.
National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac said the summit aims to strengthen “mutually beneficial and strategic cooperation” in core areas of national development.
He emphasized that both countries will enhance coordination on energy security, supply chain stability, and critical minerals amid growing global uncertainty.
The summit is expected to further solidify the partnership between South Korea and Vietnam, with both sides seeking to expand collaboration across economic and strategic sectors.
