Genesis named best car brand in Germany

Genesis has been named the “Best Car Brand” in Germany by Auto Bild, a publication known for its credibility in the country’s automotive industry.

According to Hyundai Motor Group on April 17, Genesis ranked first in both the “Best Car Brand” and “Best Luxury Car Brand” categories, surpassing European premium brands such as Porsche.

The brand earned strong evaluations across quality, safety, design, and price competitiveness, with the highest score in the price competitiveness category within the luxury segment.

The survey was conducted through direct participation from general readers rather than expert judges, reflecting the perceptions of more than 50,000 consumers. Industry analysts say the results carry added significance as they capture real customer sentiment and could influence purchasing decisions in Germany and across Europe.

Lee Si-hyuk, head of the Genesis Business Division, said, “Being named the best car brand is the result of our strategy to establish brand standards rather than focusing on short-term sales.” He added, “We will continue to strengthen our foundation through refined design, advanced technology, and differentiated retail experiences.”

Since entering the European market in 2021 with launches in Germany, the UK, and Switzerland, Genesis has expanded into France, Italy, and the Netherlands. The company is also considering entering Spain within the year as part of its continued European expansion.
