BLACKPINK will return as a full group later this month with a new mini album, with “GO” confirmed as the title track, their agency said Thursday.
According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s third mini album, DEADLINE, will be released on Feb. 27 and will feature five tracks. In addition to the title song “GO,” the album includes “JUMP,” released last July, as well as “Me and my,” “Champion,” and “Fxxxboy.”
Alongside the announcement of the title track, YG unveiled the album poster, which depicts smoke rising from black sand, evoking the image of a volcano on the brink of eruption.
The release marks BLACKPINK’s first full-group album in three years and five months. The quartet recently wrapped up a large-scale world tour spanning six cities and 33 shows. During the tour, they became the first K-pop female act to perform at London’s Wembley Stadium, often dubbed the “home of pop.”
Individually, the members have also made notable strides. Rosé earned a nomination in the Song of the Year category at the 68th Grammy Awards for “APT.,” her collaboration with pop star Bruno Mars, and went on to perform at the ceremony’s opening stage on Feb. 2.
With DEADLINE and its lead single “GO,” BLACKPINK is set to extend its global impact once again—this time reuniting as four after a period of successful solo activities.
