BLACKPINK have confirmed a full-group comeback on Feb. 27, marking their return with the release of their third mini-album, Deadline.
Their agency YG Entertainment announced the news on Thursday via its official blog, unveiling the album title and kicking off comeback promotions. A motion graphic teaser featuring the group’s signature colors, pink light cutting through darkness and fast-paced sound, built anticipation before revealing the official release time of 1 p.m. on Feb. 27.
Deadline is BLACKPINK’s third mini-album and shares its name with the group’s ongoing world tour. The title is meant to reflect the journey the quartet has shared with global fans throughout the tour, which began last July at Goyang Stadium—making BLACKPINK the first K-pop girl group to headline the venue—and has continued across major cities worldwide.

YG said key album preparations, including the music video shoot, were completed early, with the team focusing on maximizing quality. “We are grateful to the fans who have waited for us,” the agency said, adding that the group would “repay that patience with highly polished music.”
BLACKPINK are currently meeting fans through their Deadline world tour, which spans 16 cities and 33 shows. They will perform at Tokyo Dome from Jan. 16 to 18 before closing the tour with concerts at Kai Tak Stadium from Jan. 24 to 26.
