Actress Jang Shin-young will appear for the first time in her 26-year career on MBC’s talk show Radio Star, airing at 10:30 p.m. on April 30. Known recently for her thrifty lifestyle and homemaking tips, she will share behind-the-scenes stories about her now-viral “10,000-won grocery challenge” and showcase her cooking prowess by filleting raw fish live in the studio.

The episode, titled “Wise Colleague Life,” features Jang alongside guests chef Lee Yeon-bok, singer Brian, and Hwanhee.

Jang said her budgeting skills gained attention due to her daily focus on cost-effectiveness. Her impressive fish-handling technique during the in-studio performance reportedly surprised and impressed the hosts.

She also opens up about her special bond with chef Lee Yeon-bok, which began during their appearance on Fun-Staurant. Touched by his kindness, she became part of the so-called “Yeon-bok line.” A warm story behind a gift he gave her will also be revealed on the show.

Jang will also share personal stories about her family, including her eldest son, now a high school senior preparing for a career in acting. “He’s received many street casting offers, and he’s now working toward college admission as an aspiring actor,” she said. She will also talk about the close bond between her two sons, recalling a touching moment when the younger comforted his sick brother with a kiss, adding a heartwarming note to the episode.
