Son Dam-bi gives birth to daughter

Actress and singer Son Dam-bi has welcomed her first child, a daughter, three years after getting married.

On April 11, her agency Blitzway Entertainment announced that Son Dam-bi gave birth to a healthy baby girl. "Both the mother and child are in good health and currently resting with family,” the agency said.

Son, who married national speed skating coach Lee Gyu-hyuk in May 2022, had previously shared updates on her fertility journey through her personal YouTube channel, revealing that she was undergoing IVF treatment.

Born in 1983 and now 41, Son debuted as a singer in 2007 and rose to fame with hit songs like “Crazy” and “Saturday Night” in 2009. She transitioned into acting the same year with the drama Dream, later starring in series such as Lights and Shadows and When the Camellia Blooms.
