Kangin, a former member of the K-pop group Super Junior, shared a video from his recent fan meeting in Mexico, marking a rare public update.
On April 6, Kangin posted footage on Instagram from the event held at the PALCCO venue in Zapopan, Mexico. In the video, he is seen performing songs including Super Junior-Happy’s “Pajama Party,” R.ef’s “Heartbreak,” and Park Jung-hyun’s “I’m Sorry.” He also shared a photo of himself enjoying snacks after the show, writing, “See you again after Mexico.”
Kangin debuted with Super Junior in 2005 but drew criticism for multiple controversies, including hit-and-run drunk driving incidents in 2009 and 2016, and an assault case. In 2015, he was also investigated for failing to attend mandatory military reserve training. Amid growing backlash, he voluntarily left the group in July 2019.
In July 2023, Kangin launched his own YouTube channel to reconnect with fans and resume public communication. Earlier this year, in February, he was spotted at a music show recording in support of fellow former groupmate Eunhyuk’s solo activities.
