Wendy and Yeri leave SM, stay with Red Velvet

On April 4, SM Entertainment announced that Wendy and Yeri of the four-member girl group Red Velvet have ended their exclusive contracts with the agency.

 

Despite this, both artists will continue their group activities as members of Red Velvet. 

 

SM Entertainment stated, "The exclusive contracts between our company and Wendy and Yeri have ended. We sincerely support their new beginnings," adding, "Both members will continue their group activities as part of Red Velvet." Wendy and Yeri debuted with Red Velvet on August 1, 2014, with the single 'Happiness.'
