“Squid Game 2” has become the most-watched content on Netflix with 500 million hours of viewing worldwide within its first week of release.
According to Netflix’s official site ‘Netflix Top 10’ on Wednesday, ‘Squid Game 2’ became the most viewed content on Netflix with a total of 487.6 million hours according to the fourth week of December (Dec. 23-29).
The total number of viewers divided by running time (7 hours and 10 minutes) is estimated to be 68 million. It topped the non-English TV category, and also showed an overwhelming figure compared to the English TV and film categories.
It became the most successful non-English TV show in Netflix history by renewing the first week of viewing with 448.73 million hours set by the fourth week of September 2021 (20-26th) Squid Game Season 1 in two years. On a weekly basis, it ranked second all-time after 571.76 million hours (first week of October) held by Squid Game Season 1.
By country, it ranked first in a total of 92 countries, including the U.S., France, Japan, India, and Australia.
