Big Hit Music has issued a follow-up statement of apology for describing the vehicle that SUGA had ridden as an “electronic kickboard” not a “scooter” in light of the controversy surrounding BTS member SUGA’s drunk-driving incident.
“We would like to clarify that there was no intention to scale down the issue, and it was only later that we were able to confirm that the vehicle was not a kickboard,” the agency revealed via Weverse on Thursday.
“Previously, we described the vehicle as an electronic kickboard believing that it was a foldable kickboard with a seat attachment. However, while confirming the facts in detail, we learned that such vehicle models vary by performance and specifications, and as a result, the degree of the crime committed can also vary based on the model. We would like to apologize for failing to confirm matters in detail before relaying a statement. Once the investigators determine the exact model of the vehicle used and the consequences that can follow, we will take full responsibility,” the agency said.
