Rumors of leaving EXO are spreading fast following a report from Chinese media outlet.

On April 16, China's largest video site iQiyi stated, "While SM Entertainment said that EXO member Tao is resting as his ankle got injured in a recent variety show, it has been confirmed that Tao expressed his desire to cancel his contract with SM Entertainment."

Following the report, rumors have been floating around and Tao topped on Weibo's "most searched" list.

Previously, Tao had been already embroiled in rumors of leaving EXO. The rumor claimed that Tao would be canceling his contract with SM Entertainment to sign with China's largest entertainment company Huayi Brothers.

By then, a Huayi Brothers representative said, "We never knew that false news could be sold well like this. It seems like someone has a hidden agenda behind this. We are just quietly filming movies."

Meanwhile, SM Entertainment told to a media outlet on April 16, "A Chinese media outlet reported that Tao expressed his desire to cancel his contract, but it's absolutely not true."
