‘Winter Sonata’ to have a sequel

'Winter Sonata' will have a sequal!

'Winter Sonata's production company, Pen Entertainment, said on April 14, "We have reunited with writers Yoon Eun-kyung and Kim Eun-hee and producer Yoon Suk-ho to produce 'Winter Sonata 2'."

According to the production company, the two writers are currently writing the synopsis, which will be out around net month. Yoon Eun-kyung will be working as a general producer.

The production company said, "We don't know yet whether the story is a whole new one or not until the synopsis comes out. It will be a project that will captivate viewers in Korea as well as Japan and China."

Meanwhile, "Winter Sonata" aired from January to March of 2002, and depicted a beautiful love story of Joonsang (Bae Yong-joon) and Yoojin (Choi Ji-woo).
