Rapper Cheetah revealed her heartbreaking past on "Unpretty Rapstar."
The March 19th episode of Mnet's "Unpretty Rapstar" featured the semi-final stages for the last track.
On the show, Cheetah revealed her story under the theme of 'Real Me'.
Cheetah said, "I used to be a child who sings, but I wasn't able to sing anymore after a car accident."
She continued, "There were two choices, the one with undergoing a secondary surgery and the other was undergoing artificial brain death surgery, which was sucking blood by ceasing brain activities artificially. There was more chance of survival if you underwent a secondary surgery, but you had to have physical disorder as a result. On the other hand, there was less chance of disorder but less chance of survival if you underwent an artificial brain death surgery. My parents chose to undergo artificial brain death surgery for me."
Cheetah said, "My parents knew that not being able to do music was the worst thing for me to happen. So they chose artificial brain death that was a less chance of survival. It's hard to express what I felt when I was in a coma, but I wanted to talk about this sometime."
Meanwhile, "Unpretty Rapstar" airs every Thursday at 11 pm.
