Singer Yewon has made an official statement after actress Lee Tae-im made her public apology.
On March 6, Yewon opened up through her agency Star Empire, stating, "I'm sorry for worrying many people who showed great love to me due to the controversy that arose recently at the set of MBC's 'Tutoring Across Generations'."
Yewon said, "By that time, I had appeared as a guest after an invitation from the team of 'Tutoring Across Generations'. Due to many personal problems, Lee Tae-im sunbaenim wasn't in a leisurely position and I think she might have misunderstood me as we didn't know each other before. Please understand that Lee Tae-im sunbaenim was filming during a difficult situation as well, and I will also use this opportunity to become more mature."
She continued, "I'm thankful to the sunbaenim, who must be going through a hard time, for taking courage to apologize first. I will sincerely cheer her on with her future activities. I'm also thankful to the 'Tutoring Across Generations' team who worried for me and cheered me on. I promise to always do my best."
Previously, Lee Tae-im withdrew from 'Tutoring Across Generations' after cursing at Yewon on the set of the show. After the withdrawal, Lee Tae-im claimed that Yewon was rude first, but then later made an official apology to Yewon and 'Tutoring Across Generations' team.
