IU in talks for upcoming KBS variety drama ‘Producer’

Singer IU is in talks for KBS2TV's upcoming variety drama 'Producer' (tentative title).


On March 2, KBS Variety Department rep told AsiaToday, "It is true that IU is in talks to become the female lead for 'Producer', but nothing is confirmed."


'Producer' is a variety drama that will talk about stories inside a broadcast station. It will be produced by Seo Soo-min PD and written by Park Ji-eun, who wrote "My Love from the Star."


IU received an offer to star as the female lead, who is a top singer in the drama. Cha Tae-hyun has been cast to play a 10-eyar veteran PD of variety shows. Kim Soo-hyun has been asked to play a rookie PD in variety department on 'Producer'.
