The ruling Saenuri Party wants to focus on revising the Fair Trade Act to correct the unfair culture of Internet portals like Naver in the next National Assembly session.
During the workshop for lawmakers held in Gangwon Province, Saenuri chief policy-maker Rep. Kim Ki-Hyun said, "The goals for the next session are to vitalize economy through the 'economy endorphin National Assembly'. Developing a virtuous cycle in the economy based on legislation and budget is urgently needed."
The ruling Saenuri Party narrowed down to 6 projects and 128 bills to legislate for the upcoming session.
The 6 projects include the following: (1) vital economy, (2) safe society, (3) social integration, (4) reasonable system improvement, (5) easy mind childcare & strong education, and (6) civil rights protection.
Regarding the correction of unfair culture of Internet portals, representative Kim said, "These measures reflect public opinion for win-win economy. Saenuri Party's top priority has always been public welfare. We will continue to listen to public opinion."
He added, "Since this session is a cornerstone for the new government, we will cooperate in harmony to go forward with policies for the session."
