Samsung Electronics has earned recognition from U.S. weekly news magazine TIME for technologies that enhance everyday convenience, ranging from ultra-high-resolution gaming displays and smartphone privacy protection to refrigerator ingredient management. Three of its products—the Odyssey G8 gaming monitor, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and the Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator—were named among the Best Inventions of 2026.

According to Samsung Electronics on the 16th, TIME selected the Odyssey G8 in the entertainment and gaming category, the Galaxy S26 Ultra in consumer electronics, and the Bespoke AI Family Hub in home appliances on the 15th (local time). Each year, TIME evaluates originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact based on nominations from its editors and correspondents around the world to select products and ideas that transform daily life.

The 32-inch Odyssey G8 was recognized for its technical prowess as the first gaming monitor to support 6K ultra-high resolution, delivering refined picture quality and deep immersion. It features a Dual Mode that switches between a 6K 165Hz ultra-high-resolution mode and a 3K 330Hz ultra-high-refresh-rate mode depending on game genres and user environments. According to Samsung Electronics, the ultra-high-resolution mode is advantageous for enjoying intricate in-game details, while the ultra-high-refresh-rate mode is well-suited for fast-paced first-person shooter (FPS) or racing games.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra, released in March, was praised for its "Privacy Display," which effectively blocks the screen from being viewed from side angles. The feature is evaluated as more flexible and convenient than conventional privacy films, as users can configure when to activate it or apply it selectively to specific content, such as pop-up notifications. In addition, it comes equipped with a 200-megapixel wide-angle camera and advanced Galaxy AI features.

The Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator was named a top invention in the home appliances category in recognition of the innovativeness of its "AI Vision," which uses internal cameras to automatically recognize and manage ingredients. Users can check the inventory of food items inside the refrigerator through the SmartThings app, manage expiration dates via "AI Food Manager," and receive customized recipe recommendations. It also features a 32-inch front screen that provides access to calendars, weather forecasts, photos, and music.

Last year as well, three Samsung Electronics products—the Micro RGB TV, The Frame Pro, and The Premiere 5—were selected as TIME's "Best Inventions."
