LS Electric has signed a power distribution solution supply contract worth 185.3 billion won with global power company Bloom Energy. Driven by surging demand for artificial intelligence (AI) data center power infrastructure across North America, cumulative orders secured with Bloom Energy have surpassed 500 million dollars in about a year and a half.

According to a regulatory filing by LS Electric on the 13th, the company entered into an agreement with Bloom Energy to supply switchgear and distribution transformers valued at 138,458,284 dollars (approximately 185.3 billion won).

The venture forms part of an on-site fuel-cell power generation project for a big tech data center currently under construction in Pennsylvania. LS Electric will deliver 38 kV high-voltage switchgear and distribution transformers between April and July 2027.

With this contract, total orders won by LS Electric from Bloom Energy have exceeded 500 million dollars since April 2025, reaching the milestone in roughly 18 months. The development reflects a swift expansion in bilateral cooperation across the North American AI data center power infrastructure market.

Notably, LS Electric will deliver the switchgear and distribution transformers required for the data center as an integrated package. The deal responds directly to expanding power needs at AI data centers, which have spurred parallel demand for dedicated on-site generation along with power infrastructure that securely interconnects and distributes electricity.

LS Electric is also widening its local manufacturing and service presence across North America. Anchored by LS Electric Utah in Utah and the Bastrop Campus in Texas, the company has established a localized value chain spanning sales, engineering design, manufacturing, and maintenance services to sharpen responsiveness to clients.

Capitalizing on crossing the 500 million dollar cumulative order mark, LS Electric plans to deepen its partnership with Bloom Energy while pursuing additional business across North America, centered on fuel-cell-powered data center electrical infrastructure.

"This order reflects recognition of our engineering quality and project execution capabilities by supplying large-scale switchgear and transformers as an integrated package for a global big tech data center," an LS Electric official stated. "We will strengthen our strategic cooperation with Bloom Energy and accelerate our push into the North American AI data center market, spearheaded by our local production and service infrastructure alongside our power distribution solutions."
