LG Chem announced on the 6th that it will participate in Fakuma 2026, an international plastics processing trade fair held in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from the 12th to the 16th, to showcase engineering materials for future industries including AI data centers and robotics.

Setting up an exhibition booth of about 70 square meters, LG Chem will present an expanded range of material applications spanning not only automotive, electrical, and electronic applications, but also AI data centers, robotics, and high-performance breathable films. The exhibition pavilion will be organized under three themes: "Cost Effective," featuring paintless materials for automotive applications and metal-replacement solutions; "Sustainability," covering bio-based materials and low-carbon solutions; and "Innovative," introducing next-generation engineering plastics for AI data centers and robotics.

At this exhibition, LG Chem is placing strong emphasis on technical collaboration with client companies alongside product introductions. More than half of the total exhibition space is arranged as meeting areas to conduct tailored consultations and technical discussions. The company also plans to support clients' product development by utilizing its proprietary solution, SISO, which can predict and verify product performance in advance during the design phase.

LG Chem is focusing on the growing demand in Europe for lightweight and high-performance materials driven by electrification and expanded eco-friendly policies. Engineering plastics can replace metals to reduce product weight and improve energy efficiency, with their applications expanding beyond automotive fields into robotics and AI data centers. Through this exhibition, LG Chem plans to broaden its touchpoints with European clients.

Lee Chang-hyun, executive vice president and head of the Engineering Materials Business Division at LG Chem, stated, "What clients require is not simple materials, but next-generation solutions that turn future potential into reality. By proposing next-generation material solutions one step ahead of our clients, we will deliver new growth opportunities and differentiated value."
