LG Energy Solution has become the only Korean battery company to join Nvidia’s next-generation artificial intelligence factory ecosystem.

The company said on Sept. 22 that it had joined Nvidia’s newly launched DSX Ready program as a battery energy storage system, or BESS, partner.

Only three companies worldwide were selected as BESS partners.

An AI factory is an advanced data center designed to manage the entire AI lifecycle and generate value from data. Nvidia is building its DSX AI Factory platform to integrate and optimize the entire process from design and construction to operation, while DSX Ready is a qualification program for partner products and solutions that meet related requirements.

LG Electronics also joined the DSX Ready ecosystem after its high-capacity coolant distribution unit met Nvidia’s requirements.

LG Energy Solution qualified for Nvidia’s DSX Ready requirements for AC energy storage solutions with its high-capacity lithium iron phosphate-based JF2 AC Link product.

The product offers high safety, energy efficiency and long service life, while its modular design can shorten construction periods. It can also be expanded quickly and flexibly as data centers continue to grow in scale, allowing operators to respond rapidly to rising power demand.

LG Energy Solution plans to use its inclusion in DSX Ready to accelerate growth in the rapidly expanding North American AI data center energy storage system market.

“We will continue to expand our presence in the AI infrastructure business and accelerate growth based on our differentiated local manufacturing capabilities and technological leadership.”
