Hoban Group will conduct open recruitment for entry-level employees for 2027 as part of efforts to sustain growth and strengthen business competitiveness.
The group said on Sept. 21 that it plans to hire more than 100 new employees across major affiliates in construction, manufacturing, retail and leisure.
Applications will be accepted from Sept. 24 through Oct. 11 on Hoban Group’s recruitment website. Final candidates will be selected through document screening, personality assessments and interviews, with successful applicants scheduled to join the company in January next year.
Openings include housing business, construction and open innovation roles at construction affiliates such as Hoban Construction, Hoban Industry and Hoban TBM; production, engineering, sales and research and development positions at Taihan Cable & Solution; management support and service roles at leisure affiliates including Hoban Hotels & Resorts and Hoban Golf; marketing at Hoban Property; and sales at Daea Agricultural Products.
The recruitment drive is focused on securing talent needed to support each affiliate’s growth strategy and strengthen business competitiveness.
The construction affiliates will concentrate on hiring people capable of leading market changes as they seek to reinforce their core businesses and advance future business models.
Taihan Cable & Solution plans to secure key personnel to strengthen its total solution capabilities spanning design, manufacturing, installation and construction as it expands investment in extra-high-voltage and submarine cables.
Hoban Hotels & Resorts plans to identify and nurture talent capable of leading the next generation of the resort industry as it pursues a shift toward premium branding and expands new development projects.
Hoban Group will operate customized recruitment tracks, including a Group Talent track, Global Talent track and Junior Professional track, to attract candidates with diverse backgrounds and capabilities.
The Group Talent track will select and develop management talent at the group level to drive Hoban Group’s future growth, with successful candidates assigned to major affiliates after a comprehensive review of their capabilities and potential.
The Global Talent track targets international students as the group seeks talent needed to expand its overseas businesses and strengthen global competitiveness. The Junior Professional track is aimed at professionals with one to five years of experience who want to broaden their expertise based on their existing careers.
The selection process will focus on assessing depth of thinking and problem-solving capabilities that are difficult for artificial intelligence to replace. The group will examine candidates’ interest in and exploration of their chosen roles and introduce a new “AI Open Interview” designed to evaluate how applicants independently define problems and solve them logically while using AI to search for information.
Hoban Group is also running offline recruitment programs to strengthen communication with prospective applicants and expand opportunities to engage with talented candidates.
On Sept. 11, it held a talk-show-style recruitment briefing at its headquarters, where current employees shared their work and career development experiences with prospective applicants.
The group is also conducting campus recruiting at eight universities, including Seoul National University, Sungkyunkwan University and Hanyang University, and participating in job fairs to provide information on positions and recruitment procedures.
“Through this open recruitment, we plan to broadly secure talented people suited to the group’s growth direction and the characteristics of each role,” a Hoban Group official said. “We look forward to applications from people who proactively solve complex problems, explore issues in depth, continue learning and deliver results as one team.”
