Nvidia projects that it will double its semiconductor sales next year compared to this year.CNBC reported on the 17th (local time) that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang told reporters ahead of a summit meeting with Britain's King Charles III in Scotland, "We expect to sell twice as many chips next year as this year".

Huang cited ongoing artificial intelligence (AI) investments across nations as AI contributes to diverse industries and economies as the driver behind the sales surge.Nvidia manufactures a broad portfolio of semiconductors, including graphics processing units (GPUs) for AI, central processing units (CPUs), switch chips, optical networking chips, laptop chips, and Jetson chips for robotics and autonomous vehicles. The company also supplies the processors powering the Nintendo Switch 2.

Previously, Nvidia projected fiscal year 2028 (ending January 2028) revenue of approximately 673 billion dollars, signaling a growth rate of 70%.Huang also discussed AI safety concerns alongside executives from Google DeepMind, OpenAI, and Anthropic that day. "When a product is not safe enough, we should hold it back and keep engineering," he said.
