Samsung Electronics is showcasing high-efficiency heat pump-based residential heating and cooling electrification solutions at the 2026 Green Hydrogen Global Forum, an event addressing next-generation energy technologies including renewables and green hydrogen.

On the 14th, Samsung Electronics announced its participation in the 2026 Green Hydrogen Global Forum, held from today through the 16th at the International Convention Center Jeju, where it is presenting its EHS Mono and EHS Heat Pump Boiler systems.

The EHS heat pump is a solution that utilizes natural ambient air heat alongside electricity to supply indoor space conditioning and domestic hot water. Delivering greater heat output relative to energy inputs compared with fossil fuel-fired boilers, the system significantly enhances energy efficiency.

The EHS Mono delivers cooling, radiant floor heating, and domestic hot water from a single outdoor unit. It also incorporates heat-recovery capabilities that repurpose waste heat generated during cooling cycles to produce hot water.

The EHS Heat Pump Boiler is engineered to deliver high-temperature water up to 70°C even in ambient temperatures of minus 15°C, while sustaining space heating down to minus 25°C. Under 35°C water-outlet conditions, the system achieves a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of 4.9.

Both products feature intuitive touchscreen displays for operation. Enhanced user convenience is also delivered through SmartThings integration, enabling seamless remote control.

Samsung Electronics has established a dedicated production line for EHS heat pump boilers at its Gwangju plant, expanding its domestic supply footprint. The EHS Mono is currently undergoing field demonstrations in detached homes across Jeju Island and at Samsung C&T's Housing Research Institute in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.

Park Jung-mi, vice president of Samsung Electronics' Korea Region, stated, "Amid accelerating energy transitions, this forum serves as an opportunity to demonstrate Samsung Electronics' differentiated heat pump technology and the wide potential of our EHS solutions," adding, "Moving forward, we will actively drive the electrification of domestic heating and cooling through our high-efficiency HVAC solutions."
