Cheong Wa Dae urged North Korea to immediately halt its actions on the 12th regarding its firing of several short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea off the Wonsan area, defining it as a grave act that violates United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The National Security Office at Cheong Wa Dae stated that it convened an emergency security situation review meeting attended by relevant agencies, including the Ministry of National Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to assess South Korea's response readiness.

The office also analyzed and assessed the impact of the launch on national security, inspected necessary follow-up measures, and underscored the importance of maintaining an airtight defense posture.
