Samsung SDS held RX ART (Robotics Transformation Advancing Robotics Together) 2026 from August 31 to September 1 local time in Mountain View, California, U.S., where it shared robot application validation results and discussed cooperation plans with key Samsung affiliates and global physical AI companies. / Samsung SDS

Samsung SDS is promoting cooperation for the physical AI transformation across group affiliates. The company explained that it researched robot application use cases with affiliated companies and derived joint tasks through collaborative validation with global physical AI companies.


On the 3rd, Samsung SDS announced that it held RX ART (Robotics Transformation Advancing Robotics Together) 2026 for two days from the 31st of last month to the 1st in Mountain View, California, U.S. In cooperation with physical AI enterprises such as Walden Robotics and RoboForce, the company preemptively validated industrial robot application cases jointly identified with affiliates and shared the outcomes.


Going beyond mere technology demonstrations, the company secured essential data for AI training based on real-world on-site challenges, precisely evaluated the feasibility of robot applications, and fleshed out optimal plans for practical field deployment.


First, Samsung SDS implemented various manual tasks required at the manufacturing sites of Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Semes—such as parts handling and consumable replacement—using general-purpose robots from Walden Robotics, verifying the feasibility of real-world application.


Furthermore, for unstructured and rugged outdoor operations such as the shipbuilding and plant sites of Samsung Heavy Industries and Samsung E&A, the company applied RoboForce's robust physical AI-based Robo-Labor technology, confirming the potential for robotic automation.


In manufacturing and equipment environments requiring high precision, such as Samsung Display, the company integrated the dexterous manipulation AI technology of robotics startup G to demonstrate the viability of automating complex and delicate processes.


Samsung SDS plans to rapidly transition the technical possibilities and optimal implementation strategies identified through RX ART 2026 into real-world pilot projects across affiliate sites, expanding validated robot use cases across all fronts. The initiative aims to move beyond tech adoption to fully drive forward robotics transformation (RX) that generates tangible results in actual industrial settings.


Ahn Dae-jung, Executive Vice President and Head of the Digital Factory Business at Samsung SDS, stated, "Samsung SDS will continue to expand strategic cooperation with global physical AI robotics companies and actively support the promotion of manufacturing RX across Samsung affiliates."
