Iran's top security official announced on the 27th local time that conditions have been drawn up to resume maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), said in an interview with Lebanon's Al Manar TV that day, "Multiple mediating countries have asked Tehran about conditions for opening the strait," adding, "The government is compiling a list of demands."

According to him, the conditions Iran will put forward include a plan to end the war taking place across the West Asian region, including Lebanon.

Iran explained that it could permit ships to transit the Strait of Hormuz if the U.S. accepts these demands.

Secretary Rezaei also stated that Iran has agreed with Oman to establish a separate shipping corridor. The new corridor is set to be created spanning the territorial waters of both Oman and Iran.

He added that vessels will be able to navigate a designated route set in the center of the Strait of Hormuz if the U.S. meets Iran's conditions.

Meanwhile, he dismissed allegations that Iran attempted to assassinate U.S. President Donald Trump's son, calling them a "clear lie."
