The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs announced on the 24th that it will hold a special media exhibition themed "My Wish," reflecting the dream that independence movement leader Kim Gu sought to realize, marking UNESCO's designation of the 150th anniversary of his birth.

According to the ministry, the exhibition will run from the 25th through September 27 at the National Memorial Hall of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea. Titled "My Wish: To My Two Children," the exhibition offers an immersive media experience built around Kim Gu's aspirations, drawn from his memoir "Baekbeom Ilji" (The Diary of Baekbeom) and his calligraphy.

Content from the diary unfolds across a 22-meter ultra-wide front screen and a matching floor-projection display, while 50 reed-shaped plant robots move and respond in harmony to maximize visitors' sense of immersion. In particular, the plant robots react to visitors' movements and sounds, offering a unique experience in which attendees themselves become part of the exhibition.

Kang Byung-koo, acting director of the Provisional Government Memorial Hall, said, "We hope this special exhibition offers a valuable opportunity to take a fresh look at 'Baekbeom Ilji' — a work widely known but not always closely read — and to reflect on the nation and the power of culture that Kim Gu envisioned."
