Samsung Electronics is officially launching the Galaxy Z8 series — which distills the company's foldable expertise — along with the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Watch9. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8 have already recorded record-breaking pre-order sales of 1.44 million units over a one-week period.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 6th that it will launch the "Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, Flip8" and "Galaxy Watch Ultra2, Watch9" in Korea starting the following day. This latest Galaxy Z series shows significant improvements in design and usability, built on seven years of accumulated technology.

Samsung Electronics said the lineup is differentiated so users can choose from a variety of form factors suited to their lifestyle.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, built around a large 203.1mm display, is optimized for multitasking, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 focus on an optimized content-viewing experience and improved portability, respectively.

In particular, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is well-suited for document creation, reviewing materials, and content production. It also features a large 5,000mAh battery, allowing up to 27 hours of video playback.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 offers an immersive experience with a 193.2mm main display in a 4:3 ratio when unfolded and a 138.4mm cover screen in a 10:16 ratio when folded.

At 201g, it's also the lightest Galaxy Z Fold model to date. It also features a 4,800mAh battery, improving both portability and battery life.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 also offer improved comfort and battery performance compared to their predecessors, along with a brighter display, delivering their best performance yet.

Jeong Ho-jin, executive vice president and head of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, "The eighth-generation Galaxy Z series is a product that truly achieves mainstream appeal by applying seven years of accumulated foldable expertise," adding, "We hope people will experience the Galaxy ecosystem together with the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, which serve as personalized health companions on the wrist, offering customized healthcare guidance."
