Genesis BBQ announced on 27th that it accelerates expanding local operations by opening consecutive new stores in key commercial hubs of Hanoi in northern region and Ho Chi Minh City in southern region of Vietnam. Strategy aims to broaden brand presence across entire Vietnam by reinforcing push into southern market based on operational foundation built in northern region.
Following opening of 165-square-meter BBQ Green Star store in Pham Van Dong area of Hanoi, Genesis BBQ opened additional stores including 148-square-meter BBQ My Duc store in Phu My Hung new town of District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, and 115-square-meter BBQ Thai Hoc store on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street in District 1.
With these new openings, BBQ further strengthened key commercial strongholds connecting northern and southern Vietnam. In particular, company expanded its footprint in Ho Chi Minh City to three stores by opening second and third locations just two months after launching its first southern store in Phu Nhuan area in May. Expansion speed is evaluated to be faster than expected in establishing local presence.
All new stores entered prime commercial centers with high local purchasing power. Hanoi Green Star store sits at center of vibrant living zone dense with large apartment complexes and commercial facilities in Pham Van Dong area. Location offers excellent accessibility and secures backing demand from upper-middle-class residential area, allowing store to target both families and local residents.
BBQ My Duc store, second location in Ho Chi Minh City, is 84-seat store in Phu My Hung new town. Phu My Hung represents master-planned city in Ho Chi Minh City where foreign residents and high-income consumers gather, making it commercial hub with stable dining-out demand.
Third store, Thai Hoc store, opened near Ben Thanh Market and traveler street. Situated in commercial epicenter with heavy foot traffic of tourists and local office workers, company expects 48-seat store to secure diverse customer base.
New stores offer BBQ representative menu items including Golden Olive Chicken and Secret Sauce Chicken alongside UFO Chicken, Southeast Asian exclusive menu. Menu also targets diverse tastes of local consumers by combining K-food items such as tteokbokki, japchae, and kimchi fried rice with pizza, chicken burgers, and salads.
BBQ currently operates around 40 stores in Vietnam. Through latest openings, company plans to strengthen key commercial network centered on Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City while continuously expanding tailored store opening strategy reflecting regional consumer characteristics and commercial traits.
BBQ official said that company is solidifying business foundation in Vietnam by expanding brand strongholds around key commercial areas of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, adding that company will continue strategic store openings focused on major cities to boost brand competitiveness in Vietnam as well as Southeast Asian market.
