Major Korean business leaders, including Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and SK Chairman Chey Tae-won, will join President Lee Jae-myung on his visit to the United States and three South American nations.

According to the Presidential Office on July 22, top domestic corporate leaders and business executives will attend in large numbers during President Lee's trip from July 24 to August 3 (7 nights, 11 days).

First, on July 25 (local time) in San Francisco—the first stop of President Lee's trip—heads of major domestic conglomerates, including Chairman Lee, Chairman Chey, Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung, and Naver Global Investment Officer Lee Hae-jin, will attend an AI (Artificial Intelligence) Summit.

There, they will discuss AI cooperation with leaders of global big tech companies.

On July 28, at the Korea-Brazil Business Roundtable in São Paulo, Brazil, Federation of Korean Industries Chairman Ryu Jin will be joined by Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung, POSCO Group Chairman Chang In-hwa, Korean Air Chairman Walter Cho, Samsung Electronics President Park Seung-hee, LG Electronics CEO Lyu Jae-cheol, SK Biopharmaceuticals CEO Lee Dong-hoon, Hanwha Ocean President Jung In-sub, HD Hyundai XiteSolution CEO Moon Jae-young, and Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon. In addition, Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) CEO Kim Jong-chul, Highland Foods (Korea Importers Association) CEO Yun Young-mi, Amorepacific President Lee Sang-mok, APR CEO Kim Byung-hoon, and Silicon2 CEO Cheon Ju-hyuk will attend to discuss ways to expand into the Brazilian market.

On July 30, at the Korea-Chile Business Roundtable in Santiago, Chile, OCI Holdings Chairman Lee Woo-hyun, POSCO Group Chairman Chang In-hwa, LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-eun, Korea Zinc Chairman Choi Yun-beom, LG Electronics President Lyu Jae-cheol, Hanwha Ocean President Jung In-sub, Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon, Hyundai Motor Vice Chairman Chang Jae-hoon, and SK Biopharmaceuticals CEO Lee Dong-hoon will gather to discuss cooperation in critical minerals and eco-friendly energy.

Wi Sung-lac, Director of National Security, stated during a briefing at the Chunchugwan press center that day, "The three South American nations are located on the opposite side of the globe from us, making them partner countries for supply chain cooperation that can disperse climate change or geopolitical risks." He added, "We plan to strengthen strategic partnerships regarding critical mineral supply chains and deepen discussions to diversify import sources for food and energy."
