Kakao Mobility announced on July 15 that it has obtained "ISO 45001" certification, the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems, from the British Standards Institution (BSI).

ISO 45001 is an international standard for occupational health and safety management established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is awarded to companies that systematically manage various risk factors within their workplaces and establish management systems to prevent industrial disasters.

Through this certification, Kakao Mobility has been officially recognized for systematizing its health and safety management procedures across diverse areas ranging from platform service operations to on-site offline locations.

To establish a highly effective health and safety management system, Kakao Mobility plans to strengthen its safety governance to meet global standards. Future initiatives include constant monitoring of health and safety objective implementation across businesses and sites, building an integrated risk assessment system that reflects specific business characteristics, and continuously reviewing and improving the performance of the health and safety management system.

"This certification officially recognizes that Kakao Mobility's health and safety management efforts comply with international standards," said Alex Ryu, CEO of Kakao Mobility. "We will continue to expand the scope of this certification and advance our safety management system to strive for a safe and healthy working environment."
