Google Cloud announced on July 13 that it is partnering with Samsung Electronics to roll out Gemini Enterprise to the tech giant’s Device eXperience (DX) division employees globally. Marking Google Cloud’s largest adoption of enterprise agentic artificial intelligence (AI) in South Korea to date, the initiative aims to set a new global benchmark for workforce productivity and operational innovation.

The two companies plan to shift the corporate workflow paradigm toward integrated agentic capabilities—moving past simple task assistance to orchestrating autonomous and continuous AI agents. To achieve this, a dual-layer architecture tailored to the specific needs of the DX division has been deployed. Employees will access a centralized gateway via the Gemini Enterprise app, which bridges scattered internal systems. This setup enables real-time search and synthesis of complex corporate data, transforming routine data retrieval into proactive, guide-driven problem-solving.

Furthermore, this deployment is expected to serve as a foundational pillar for Samsung Electronics' next-generation AI roadmap. Operating within a highly secure and governed environment, Samsung intends to transition toward implementing customized, multi-step AI agents capable of autonomously managing intricate workflows. Over the long term, the company aims to democratize AI across the entire organization, enabling both developers and non-technical staff to build their own AI agents. Google Cloud will support this by providing low-code and no-code customization tools for line-of-business managers, alongside robust development environments and tech ecosystems for advanced engineers.

Data sovereignty and security frameworks have also been heavily reinforced. Gemini Enterprise will be deployed within a dedicated Google Cloud tenant environment exclusive to Samsung's DX division. This ensures that sensitive corporate data is tightly managed within a controlled boundary with no risk of external leaks. Through this architecture, Samsung Electronics has established a secure foundation to scale its digital workforce while safeguarding its core intellectual property.

She added that "Gemini Enterprise will serve as a launchpad for Samsung Electronics employees to embrace true enterprise AI, providing a secure foundation to accelerate global business innovation tailored to diverse organizational needs."
