SK AX is set to support the transition of manufacturing operations toward a robot-centric system. The company aims to build autonomous factories where entire facilities can make decisions and operate independently.

SK AX announced on July 9 that it is rolling out its "Manufacturing RX Full-Stack Service" to help manufacturing enterprises achieve operational innovation through robotics. The company plans to proactively verify potential risks associated with robot implementation to ensure stable and secure transitions.

"By connecting robots, manufacturing execution systems (MES), and equipment data in real time, it becomes possible to realize an autonomous manufacturing environment where the entire factory operates organically," an SK AX official explained.

A key feature of the company's "Manufacturing RX Full-Stack Service" is its one-stop, comprehensive support spanning all stages of automation—from virtual simulation and verification prior to robot deployment to on-site autonomous control and integrated factory-wide operations.

SK AX is currently gathering on-site data in the semiconductor sector while validating digital twin technologies and robot integrated control systems through pilot models. The company has recently expanded these initiatives into the shipbuilding industry. Moving forward, it plans to continuously scale the application of these verified models to accelerate its clients' transition to autonomous factories.

"The robotic transformation of the manufacturing sector is no longer just about purchasing hardware," said Kim Kwang-soo, head of the Manufacturing Service Division at SK AX. "The core lies in operational capability—ensuring robots function reliably on the actual shop floor and stay seamlessly integrated with the entire plant. We will act as an AX partner that evolves our clients' facilities into continuous, autonomous factories."
