Sam Chun Dang Pharm directly refuted recent media reports claiming that the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) has launched a formal investigation into the company.

The company uploaded a clarification statement on its official website on the 2nd, stating, "As of today, we have not received any official requests for document submission or notifications regarding the commencement of an investigation from any regulatory bodies, including the Financial Supervisory Service." However, the company added, "Should we receive a formal request from relevant authorities in the future, we will cooperate transparently and faithfully with all investigative procedures."

The pharmaceutical firm also explained the circumstances surrounding its designation as an unfaithful disclosure corporation, which had fueled suspicions of fraudulent disclosures. "The designation was triggered by penalty points handed down because we distributed a press release regarding the performance milestone of our Eylea biosimilar (SCD411) in the Canadian market before going through the official regulatory disclosure process," the company explained. "It has absolutely nothing to do with allegations of fraudulent disclosure or contract cancellations."

The company further clarified that the issue is entirely separate from its exclusive contract in the United States or its oral obesity and diabetes treatment contracts across 11 European countries, adding, "We are currently reinforcing our internal disclosure management systems to prevent any recurrence."
